1. What we collect

When you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, we securely store your basic profile information — name, email address, and avatar — so we can create and manage your account. We also store the data you create on ReadPile: your piles, book selections, descriptions, and read statuses.

2. How we use your data

Your data is used strictly to make ReadPile work for you. We don't sell your personal information, email address, or reading habits to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

3. Third-party services

ReadPile uses third-party services including Google Sign-In and the Google Books API. Book metadata, cover images, and related information displayed on ReadPile may be sourced from Google Books.

When ReadPile uses Google services, information may also be processed by Google in accordance with Google's own terms and privacy practices.

4. Public piles

If you set a pile to "Public," anyone with the link can view it — including its book list, descriptions, and your display name. Private piles are only visible to you.

5. Deleting your account

You own your data. You can delete your account and all associated piles at any time from your account settings. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
